OPOLKA - Alfreda M. (nee Kwiecinski) Age 89, of Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2016, at home surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her late husband of 49 years, John J. Opolka; beloved mother of Diane (Robert Jr.) Reynolds; proud daughter of the late Katherine and John Kwiecinski; loving sister of Lottie Kwiecinski, Jane (late Fred) Hoffman, twin sister of the late Mary, Joseph (Helen) and Walter (Ruby) Kwiecinski; grandmother of Catherine (Scott) Suda; step-grandmother of Jennifer (Mike) Ward and Holly Reynolds; she had two step-great-grandsons and was a loving aunt. Freda loved crocheting, baking, hockey and football. Her greatest joy was her family and being a friend to all. She was an active member of Our Mother of Good Counsel Church's Catholic Daughters and an active member of Our Lady of the Sacred Hearts Senior Club. The family would like to thank the staff of WNY Hospice for their contributions in Alfreda's memory may be made to the Hospice Foundation of WNY. No prior visitation.
