Erie County Cremation Service has the largest variety of urns to choose from in New York State.
A direct cremation is arranged as an immediate disposition of the body, which is typically followed by a Memorial Gathering that takes place at a church or at our funeral home. Having a Memorial Gathering is a significant component of the healing process.
Erie County Cremation Service is honored to serve those who have chosen cremation as an end-of-life decision.
Having served WNY as the longest operating cremation service, we know cremation and can help explain the cremation process well.
If the body is cremated:
- The remains can be stored by the family in an urn
- You may take the remains in the cardboard box supplied by the crematory
- The remains can be placed in a niche within a columbarium
- The remains can be buried in the ground in a plot
- The remains can be entombed in a crypt within a mausoleum
